Bugs are a type of mob that spawn in the world adding life and ambiance. Different bugs spawn in all kinds of different places but currently no bugs spawn in Cold biomes, and most bugs don't spawn at night time. Bugs can be caught by hitting them with a Net, they have a 25% chance of catching when you hit them, but this chance can be increased to 50% if you're crouching.
Bryson the frog located in Honeyfir will give you coins in exchange for bugs, so bug catching can be a money making activity too. You can also keep bugs and display them in a bug display case which can be bought from Bryson for 50 coins.
Some bugs have extra drops such as rare mounts.
Atlas Moths spawn in all biomes apart from cold or desert biomes with a higher chance in Dark Oak Forests, and only spawn during the night.
They have a 0.4% chance of spawning and often spawn in groups of 2 or 3.
There is a 0.5% chance that when you catch an atlas moth you will recieve the rare Giant Atlas Moth Mount.

Butterflies spawn in all biomes apart from cold or desert biomes, and only spawn during the day.
They have a 15% chance of spawning when its not raining and a 2% chance of spawning when it is raining.
Butterflies come in 7 different colours, randomly picking 1 colour when they spawn, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, White, and Pink.
You can sell butterflies to Bryson for 5 coins.
Dragonflies spawn around water such as rivers and ponds.
They have a 8% chance to spawn when its not raining and a 15% chance when it is raining.
Dragonflies come in 4 different colours, randomly picking 1 colour when they spawn, Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.
You can sell dragonflies to Bryson for 9 coins.
Dung Beetles spawn in all biomes apart from cold biomes, and only spawn during the day.
They have a 2% chance of spawning when its not raining and a 0.1% chance of spawning when it is raining.
You can sell dung beetles to Bryson for 20 coins.
Ladybugs spawn in all biomes apart from cold or desert biomes, and only spawn during the day.
They have a 8% chance of spawning when its not raining and a 1% chance of spawning when it is raining.
You can sell ladybugs to Bryson for 15 coins.
Praying Mantis' spawn in all biomes apart from cold or desert biomes, and only spawn during the day.
They have a 1% chance of spawning when its not raining and a 0.1% chance of spawning when it is raining.
You can sell praying mantis' to Bryson for 20 coins.
Snails spawn in all biomes apart from cold or desert biomes, and only spawn during the day.
They have a 3% chance to spawn when its not raining and a 18% chance to spawn when it is raining.
There is a 1% chance that when you catch a snail you will recieve the rare Giant Snail mount.
